1977-1984年就讀于陜西師范大學化學系，獲學士和碩士學位；1993-1997年就讀于比利時根特大學，獲分析化學博士學位。1998年進入清華大學化學系工作，現為清華大學化學系教授。主要從事發光分析和質譜分析方法與儀器研究，曾獲中國化學會分析化學基礎研究梁樹權獎、教育部自然科學一等獎、二等獎、以及國家科技進步二等獎等。是Analytical Chemistry（ACS）副主編，Luminescence(Wiley)主編，兼任中國分析測試協會副理事長，中國質譜學會副理事長等。

Xinrong ZHANG received Bachelor's degree in Shaanxi Normal University, China in 1981, and Ph.D degree in Ghent University, Belgium in 1997. He has been a professor of Tsinghua University since 1998. His current research interests are focused on analytical methodology and application of mass spectrometry. He is the RSC fellow, Associate Editor of Analytical Chemistry (ACS), Editor-in-Chief of Luminescence (Wiley), Advisory Board Members ofseveralinternational and national journals .
